To solve that problem during that time while they were ramping up their hiring and training, other agencies stent volunteers to act as air marshalls.

FAMS are meant to stop terrorist or other potentially dangerous actions by passengers when they occur. But one of the key components of the program is the conceptual deterrence it is supposed to provide. The question is does it really work? It’s hard to say if it stops terrorists from trying to execute their plans. That’s because they don’t tell us. After 911 the Air Marshall Program was expanded, but that was going to take some time to hire and train the additional staff needed. To solve that problem during that time while they were ramping up their hiring and training, other agencies stent volunteers to act as Air Marshalls. We know they are out there, but how many flights are they on? For example, did you hear of air Marshalls intervening with Richard Reed the Shoe Bomber in December of 2001? Or how about Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab the underwear bomber in December of 2009? There are some that say it’s not a deterrent due to the number of flights they are not on. Yet others say it is because they feel safer knowing one could be on their flight. Where do you stand on the subject? Support your answer.
Please research the question and provide your thoughts by responding to this discussion post. Your response should be between 250-750 words and needs to include at least two citations at the end of the post. Think of your posting in terms of a contribution to a dialogue, not a writing exercise. This is particularly important since we don’t meet in person. Therefore, this is one of the few ways we can generate a dialog. Make your posts clear and pertinent. Offer clarifying examples for complex and abstract ideas. Don’t be afraid to include open-ended questions that invite dialogue in your response. Read the other response posts to help get an idea on what you want to say on the subject. Feel free to offer evidence supporting the earlier post or your contrasting point of view and ask challenging, open-ended questions.

In my opinion i feel this will be a serious issue within the next 10 years or more and only because changes have not been made by the communication being poor when it comes to pressing issue the individuals are better known to ignoring each other’s needs and wants and by all means children are also included.

1. I took the time to put plenty of thoughts on this topic for this week 8 forum, I feel the most pressing issue facing a child on family development specialist would be the in basic communication when it comes to families. When it come to this issue you will see this is of the norm and very common. In my opinion I feel this will be a serious issue within the next 10 years or more and only because changes have not been made by the communication being poor when it comes to pressing issue the individuals are better known to ignoring each other’s needs and wants and by all means children are also included. You have several people that have not been properly shown how to communicate with each other in a way that process their ability to pay attention by listening and speak in such a way of behaving that motivate a fecund dialogue to resolve issues and construct on a foregoing bond; on the other hand most people will not fully understand this particular skill until their matured adults but it could be instilled in a person’s mind at the beginning stages of life to advance healthy and a effective way one shoud communicate. As I gave more thought into this question I feel pressing the iddue facing a child of family development specialist is to help families that need the proper guidance and to become closer to one another in order to strive to have normal but yet frequent conversations that will make the communication better and it will become a habit but we must take in consideration it takes 30 days to form a habit so communication will get better but it will not happen overnight. “Proper communication helps strengthen the family dynamic, and among family members, it is the most effective way for each of them to understand the other’s needs as well as what they are feeling and thinking during the time, they spend with one another. Being sensitive and receptive to the response of other’s is vital in terms of the relationship construct”. (Darling et al., 2014). There are many individuals who tend to assume that just because one of their family members is upset about something, that it is directed towards them, even what that is not the case; although, this does cause changes in the atmospheric mood and simply communicating with each other about the issue or situation can help resolve the issues or situations so the family could come together to find a way to console their loved ones who is upset. If one member of the family remains angry, all it will take is for one member of the family to encourage a happier atmospheric mood or mindset so that they can have a decent conversation and talk about what it may be that the family member is feeling at that giving time. A child or a family development specialist can provide families with the means to effectively reach out to the troubled family member by steering them through their conversation which makes them communicate better as well as the faults that each of them may need to work on to create and build healthy, positive, effective line of communication. I truly believe that this could be accomplished by providing them the chance to share their feelings and thoughts in a comfortable but yet safe space and encourage others to really comprehend and listens to what is being brought to the forefront. I also believe that emphasizing the importance of being an honest person you will gain support throughout the conversation that will allow improvement in a way that a family will communicate well. There are several people who tend to understand how to communicate in families and they pass on what works for them.
2. The below learning objectives would be indicative of objectives I may include in a leadership course based on personnel development.
Students should be able to discuss the coaching and mentoring techniques used to improve employee performance.
Students should be able to develop a coaching and mentorship strategy that can be used to improve employee performance.
The first objective is based on the understanding phase of Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy; a lower order skill in Bloom’s hierarchy of learning. In this phase of learning, instruction would be focused on ensuring students know and understand the conceptual foundations of coaching and mentoring employees. Most of this instruction would be presented in a more pedagogal fashion to ensure students are receiving the applicable content to meet the objective. Responses to facilitated discussion, open-ended and scenario-based questions, can aid in cementing and assessing understanding.
The second objective falls in lines with Bloom’s higher order skills, the create phase. In this phase of learning students would develop a plan of action for coaching and mentoring employees. Classroom discussion and collaboration would be instrumental during this phase. Instructors should encourage students to share their experiences and lessons learned in effort to get them thinking critically about personnel development through coaching and mentoring; facilitate such discussions with prompts and questions aimed at getting students to assess their experiences and discover alternate approaches/outcomes. Students’ procedural ability to integrate the course lessons into an actionable plan could be assessed through observation of student discussions, student responses to questions and critique, as well as evaluation of the final action plan project.

Chapter # 1
Overview
The topic of Chapter 1 is an introduction to real estate principles. This chapter covers four important concepts for the real estate student. First, the real estate licensing in California is discussed, along with the real estate market. Second, the historical influence of real property is examined. Third, the difference between real property and personal property is spelled out clearly. And last, the chapter concludes by analyzing various methods of land description. These concepts are important because they may be on the real estate exam for licensees.
Key Concept from Chapter 9
I learned that real estate can be a profitable professional (p. 4). One of the reasons it can be profitable is because the compensation to agents is based on the sales price of the house. In California, real estate values are typically high, which translates into a high commission. The commission is always paid to the broker, but the real estate salesperson receives a portion. Many real estate agents are using social media to promote their services.
Key Concept from Chapter 10
The second thing I learned is that property owners have a “bundle of rights” (p. 5). It means they have control of certain things because they own the real estate. Generally, people view it as a bundle of sticks, with each one of them being a “right” the owner has. Their types of rights vary based on their level of ownership. For example, homeowners have the right to possess (live in) their houses – unless they rent out the house to tenants. In that case, the tenant now has the right to possess the house.
Key Concept from Chapter 9
The third concept I learned is the definition of real property (p. 6). There are four things that define real property: land, affixed to the land, appurtenant to the land, or immovable. These items “tests” are what separates real property from personal property. For example, a refrigerator can be moved out of the house, so it is considered personal property. However, a fence is permanently dug into the ground so it becomes part of the real property, along with the land and the house.
Summary
This was an interesting chapter and I learned a lot about real estate. Real estate has a long and colorful history in California. There are several types of land description methods, which will probably be on the state real estate exam. I know I will have to study some of the concepts further, such as the MARIA acronym of determining personal versus real property. In addition to the knowledge of concepts, real estate involves math calculations.

I would have to say that I valued the section on getting ready for an inspection and what to expect from the OSHA inspector at the time of inspection. In all my years of working for the military, I have never been involved in an OSHA inspection until recently. Just last month we had a call on the complaint to OSHA about the smell of bats dropping in one of the buildings. We already had a public health assessment in work for this problem so no violation, citation, or penalty was accessed.

In order to have the capacity to contract a person must be at least 18 years of age (unless emancipated) and be of sound mind (pg.249).

Learning Goal: I’m working on a social science multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Please respond to Makayla with 150 words
OverviewChapter 7 covers essential information on contract law. There are four primary classifications of contracts which include; Express or implied, unilateral or bilateral, executory or executed, and valid, voidable, void, or unenforceable. Chapter 8 revolves around Real Estate Contracts. This chapter examines the subject of real estate contracts. This chapter delves into distinct contracts between; property owners and Brokers, Brokers and salespersons, sellers and buyers of the property, and options.
Key Concept from Chapter 7The first thing I learned about in chapter 7 was contract formation. The 4 key elements to a justifiable contract are; A) Capacity to Contract, B)Mutual Consent, C)Consideration, and D)Lawful Purpose. In order to have the capacity to contract a person must be at least 18 years of age (unless emancipated) and be of sound mind (Pg.249). For a contract to be irrevocable all parties involved must consent to the terms and purposely give their consent (pg. 252), this is what is called “mutual consent”. “Consideration” is when the promisor and promisee exchange something of value within their contract (pg. 258). Lawful purpose means the object of the contract must be lawful. Any illegal agreements met on a contract will cause the contract to become void (pg. 258-258). All of these elements combined create a lawful contract.
Key Concept from Chapter 7The second thing I learned about in chapter 7 is performance and breach of contract. Since a contract requires an exchange of something viable between all parties involved there are legal actions taken when a party doesn’t hold up to their end of the bargain. An example would be contracting to build a home for $350,000. If the contractor doesn’t build the home for the client, the client doesn’t owe the contractor the $350,000. Some cases are a little more complicated. If all that is promised in a contract by one party is done but not in a timely manner or done incorrectly, the other party may be eligible to sue for damages (pg.262).
Key Concept from Chapter 8What I learned about in chapter 8 are broker/salesperson employment agreements. Each broker must have a written employment agreement with every licensee working under them, this is required by the Real Estate Commissioner’s Regulations. A broker has a responsibility to supervise and manage their agents because Brokers can be held liable for a salesperson’s wrongful acts that work under them. Even though an agent works under a broker, a broker has limited control over agents and cannot force a salesperson to work on a particular listing (pg.281).
SummaryChapters seven and eight have a focal point on contracts. Without contracts, there is no real estate. Contracts make agreements legally binding. Contracts can be avoided if their original terms agreed to are not met by either party involved. Brokers may not force agents to work on particular listings. There must be a written agreement between Brokers and agents for the employment to be valid.

Should accommodations be made at work for people with aging issues?

Learning Goal: I’m working on a social science multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
If you are of the age where this is pertinent to you, discuss how the aging process has affected you while at work. What accommodations have you had to make? If you are not of the age yet where this is an issue, look around at your work mates, and discuss what they have had to deal with. Should accommodations be made at work for people with aging issues? Is this considered an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) issue? Defend your answer. Respond with 250 words

Assignment 2: Application: Process Recordings
A process recording is a written
tool field education experience students, field instructors, and faculty
use to examine the dynamics of social work interactions in time.
Process recordings can help in developing and refining interviewing and
intervention skills. By conceptualizing and organizing ongoing
activities with social work clients, you are able to clarify the purpose
of interviews and interventions, identify personal and professional
strengths and weaknesses, and improve self-awareness. The process
recording is also a useful tool in exploring the interpersonal dynamics
and values operating between you and the client system through an
analysis of filtering the process used in recording a session.
For this Assignment, you will submit a process recording of your field education experiences specific to this week.
The Assignment (2–4 pages):
**Attached is last week’s process recording so please create a new process recording based on the same client.***
*Use the same template also!
Provide a transcript of what happened during your field education experience, including a dialogue of interaction with a client.
Explain your interpretation of what occurred in the dialogue,
including social work practice or theories, and explain how it might
relate to assessment covered this week.
Describe your reactions and/or any issues related to your interaction with a client during your field education experience.
Explain how you applied social work practice skills when performing the activities during your process recording.
