At this clinic visit, it is noted on a chest x-ray examination that rs has an area of consolidation in his right lower lobe that is thought to be consistent with pneumonia.

RS has smoked for many years and has developed chronic bronchitis, a chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He also has a history of coronary artery
disease and peripheral arterial vascular disease. His arterial blood gas (ABG)
values are pH, 7.32; PaCO2, 60 mm Hg; PaO2, 50 mm Hg; and HCO3-, 30 mEq/L.
His hematocrit is 52% with normal red blood cell indices. He is using an inhaled ß2
agonist and theophylline to manage his respiratory disease. At this clinic visit, it is
noted on a chest x-ray examination that RS has an area of consolidation in his
right lower lobe that is thought to be consistent with pneumonia.
Answer the following questions about RS’s situation.
1. What clinical findings are likely in RS as a consequence of his COPD? How
would these differ from those of emphysematous COPD?
2. Interpret RS’s laboratory results. How would his acid-base disorder be
classified? What is the most likely cause of his polycythemia?
3. What is the rationale for treating RS with theophylline and a ß2 agonist?
4. What effects would his respiratory disease have on his cardiovascular
function?
5. Considering both his COPD and pneumonia, in what position would RS have
the worst ventilation/perfusion (V/Q) matching?
The grading for this assignment will follow the Grading Rubric for case studies.
 Reference page(s): minimum of 2 references.
 Be sure to provide all references in APA format. There is no other specific
format for answering the questions within the case stud

What would be the best therapeutic approach on c.j. submission instructions:

Musculoskeletal Function:
G.J. is a 71-year-old overweight woman who presents to the Family Practice Clinic for the first time complaining of a long history of bilateral knee discomfort that becomes worse when it rains and usually feels better when the weather is warm and dry. “My arthritis hasn’t improved a bit this summer though,” she states. Discomfort in the left knee is greater than in the right knee. She has also suffered from low back pain for many years, but recently it has become worse. She is having difficulty using the stairs in her home. The patient had recently visited a rheumatologist who tried a variety of NSAIDs to help her with pain control. The medications gave her mild relief but also caused significant and intolerable stomach discomfort. Her pain was alleviated with oxycodone. However, when she showed increasing tolerance and began insisting on higher doses of the medication, the physician told her that she may need surgery and that he could not prescribe more oxycodone for her. She is now seeking medical care at the Family Practice Clinic. Her knees started to get significantly more painful after she gained 20 pounds during the past nine months. Her joints are most stiff when she has been sitting or lying for some time and they tend to “loosen up” with activity. The patient has always been worried about osteoporosis because several family members have been diagnosed with the disease. However, nonclinical manifestations of osteoporosis have developed.
Case Study Questions
Define osteoarthritis and explain the differences with osteoarthrosis. List and analyze the risk factors that are presented on the case that contribute to the diagnosis of osteoarthritis.
Specify the main differences between osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, make sure to include clinical manifestations, major characteristics, joints usually affected and diagnostic methods.
Describe the different treatment alternatives available, including non-pharmacological and pharmacological that you consider are appropriate for this patient and why.
How would you handle the patient concern about osteoporosis? Describe your interventions and education you would provide to her regarding osteoporosis.
Neurological Function:
H.M is a 67-year-old female, who recently retired from being a school teacher for the last 40 years. Her husband died 2 years ago due to complications of a CVA. Past medical history: hypertension controlled with Olmesartan 20 mg by mouth once a day. Family history no contributory. Last annual visits with PCP with normal results. She lives by herself but her children live close to her and usually visit her two or three times a week.
Her daughter start noticing that her mother is having problems focusing when talking to her, she is not keeping things at home as she used to, often is repeating and asking the same question several times and yesterday she has issues remembering her way back home from the grocery store.
Case Study Questions
Name the most common risks factors for Alzheimer’s disease
Name and describe the similarities and the differences between Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular Dementia, Dementia with Lewy bodies, Frontotemporal dementia.
Define and describe explicit and implicit memory.
Describe the diagnosis criteria developed for the Alzheimer’s disease by the National Institute of Aging and the Alzheimer’s Association
What would be the best therapeutic approach on C.J.
Submission Instructions:
You must complete both case studies.
Your initial post should be at least 500 words per case study, formatted and cited in the current 7th Edition APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources.
Each question must be answered individually, not in an essay format.
Example: Question 1, followed by the answer to question 1; Question 2, followed by the answer to question 2; etc.

Assignment format

I already have the solutions for this question, even so they are retrieved from external sources. Due to that, they require to be fully paraphrased (will be checked through Turnitin), rewritten in some cases and put in adequate powerpoint format as the questions requires. DO NOT copy paste from the pdf file I attached as that is fully plagiarized. You can use that file to inspire your answers.
Request:
For this week assignment, create a PowerPoint presentation based on the following case studies.bRead the case study presented at the end of Chapter 12 (Guido, p. 218) and answer the following questions:
Did the facility have sufficient evidence to suspend the nurse?
• How should the testimony of the other nurses in the unit affect the outcome of this case?
• What additional questions should the institution address before the court rules in this case?
• How would you have ruled in this case?
Read the case study presented at the end of Chapter 13 (Guido, p. 234) which begins, “The patient was seen by the NP in an outpatient clinic for persistent diarrhea,…” and answer the following questions:
How should the expert witness for the defense offer testimony that the NP and the consulting physician had met the standards of care for this individual patient?
• Did not having a full autopsy impact the outcome of the case either for or against the NP and the clinic?
• Would the care of this patient have been positively impacted by a more thorough examination of the patient’s gastrointestinal problems?
• How should the court decide on the issue of negligence?
Read Chapters 16 and 17 in Guido (7th ed). Read the case study presented at the end of Chapter 17 (Guido, p. 328-329) beginning with, “A licensed practical nurse…” and answer the following questions found on p. 329:
Did the nurse manager have a responsibility to supervise the care of the patient?
• Was the care of this patient appropriately assigned to the LPN by the charge nurse, or could the charge nurse have delegated this patient’s care more appropriately?
• If the charge nurse assigned the care of the patient to the LPN, did she retain any supervisory responsibility that would result in her liability in this case?
• How do the principles associated with delegation and supervision figure into this case
Assignment Format
Length: 16 slides minimum; answers must thoroughly address the questions in a clear, concise manner.
Structure:
Title: 1 slide
Objectives: 1 slide
Chapter 12 case study: at least 4 slides
Chapter 13 case study: at least 4 slides
Chapter 17 case study: at least 4 slides
Conclusion: 1 slide
References: 1 slide
Additionally, because a good presentation has few words on the slides include a script with the verbiage you would say when presenting; script should be a minimum of 50 words per slide.
References: Use the appropriate APA style in-text citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. Include at least three (3) scholarly sources to support your claims, at least one per case study.

Case: an elderly widow who just lost her spouse.

For this Discussion, review the case Learning Resources and the case study excerpt presented. Reflect on the case study excerpt and consider the therapy approaches you might take to assess, diagnose, and treat the patient’s health needs.
Case: An elderly widow who just lost her spouse.
Subjective: A patient presents to your primary care office today with chief complaint of insomnia. Patient is 75 YO with PMH of DM, HTN, and MDD. Her husband of 41 years passed away 10 months ago. Since then, she states her depression has gotten worse as well as her sleep habits. The patient has no previous history of depression prior to her husband’s death. She is awake, alert, and oriented x3. Patient normally sees PCP once or twice a year. Patient denies any suicidal ideations. Patient arrived at the office today by private vehicle. Patient currently takes the following medications:
Metformin 500mg BID
Januvia 100mg daily
Losartan 100mg daily
HCTZ 25mg daily
Sertraline 100mg daily
Current weight: 88 kg
Current height: 64 inches
Temp: 98.6 degrees F
BP: 132/86
By Day 3 of Week 7Post a response to each of the following:
List three questions you might ask the patient if she were in your office. Provide a rationale for why you might ask these questions.
Identify people in the patient’s life you would need to speak to or get feedback from to further assess the patient’s situation. Include specific questions you might ask these people and why.
Explain what, if any, physical exams, and diagnostic tests would be appropriate for the patient and how the results would be used.
List a differential diagnosis for the patient. Identify the one that you think is most likely and explain why.
List two pharmacologic agents and their dosing that would be appropriate for the patient’s antidepressant therapy based on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. From a mechanism of action perspective, provide a rationale for why you might choose one agent over the other.
For the drug therapy you select, identify any contraindications to use or alterations in dosing that may need to be considered based on ethical prescribing or decision-making. Discuss why the contraindication/alteration you identify exists. That is, what would be problematic with the use of this drug in individuals based on ethical prescribing guidelines or decision-making?
Include any “check points” (i.e., follow-up data at Week 4, 8, 12, etc.), and indicate any therapeutic changes that you might make based on possible outcomes that may happen given your treatment options chosen. Required Reading.
Explain “lessons Learned” from this case study, including how you may apply this case to your own practice when providing care to patients with similar clinical presentations.
