Individual Idea Assignment (10%) (max 1page, single spaced text)
Using concepts covered in class, each student will identify and evaluate two different potential venture ideas. For each, you will provide: (1) an overview of the idea and the need that it addresses; (2) your evaluation of its potential; and (3) discuss how you discovered the opportunity. Dedicate about half a page of single-spaced text to each idea. After this, provide a brief analysis that discusses which idea you think has the most potential and why.

Great leaders move us. They ignite our passion and inspire the best in us. When we try to explain why they are so effective, we speak of strategy, vision, or powerful ideas. However, the reality is much more primal. Great leadership works through the emotions (Goleman, Boyatzis, & McKee, 2002).
Conduct some research on leading with Emotional Intelligence or resonant leadership using the South University Online Library.

Everyone has their own perspective of what leadership is, who leaders are, and what leaders do.
Begin this assignment by taking a few minutes to write down some of your ideas about leaders and leadership. After you have documented your initial reflection, complete the conceptualizing leadership questionnaire located here.
Next, ask at least two people that you know (preferably people who are in significant leadership positions) to give you their definition of leadership and to describe their personal beliefs about leadership.
Then, conduct some research on the definition of leadership using the South University Online Library. Locate a peer reviewed definition of leadership and include a brief analysis of the key components of the definition. How did completing the questionnaire, interviews, and research confirm or challenge your personal leadership perspective? What did you add to your initial perspective? What did you delete from your initial perspective?
