That aren’t helping them learn the skills of cooperation.

Please respond to Harold with 300 words . Please respond in apa Style, citations and references.
As a higher education administrator, I felt this topic on a very deep level. Having interactions with Millennials about campus policies, procedures, deadlines or the consequences of their actions or inactions is draining for someone who was raised in a generation that didn’t receive participation ribbons for coming in last or give team cheers at the end of the game for the losing team in a sign of good sportsmanship. If Michael Jordan never got cut from his high-school basketball team, maybe he would’ve settled for being on the bench and being on the team versus taking the next year to train and get better to avoid having that ever happen again.
Feeling down can be a great motivator, but millennials have used technology and a lackadaisical attitude towards anything that requires effort as a crutch, to belittle or embarrass those weaker than their self, bully and create divides which has contributed to social interaction issues. Simon Sinek states:
“They (Millenials) care more about the short-term gains than the life of this young human being. We care more about the year than the lifetime. We are putting them in corporate environments that are not helping them build their confidence. That aren’t helping them learn the skills of cooperation. That aren’t helping them overcome the challenges of a digital world and finding more balance. That isn’t helping them overcome the need for instant gratification and teach them the joys and impact and the fulfillment you get from working hard on something for a long time that cannot be done in a month or even in a year.” (Crossman, 2016)
I believe as an administrator, we need to recognize what’s missing and think outside the box to reach this generation. Internal motivation, mentorship, and the power of prayer can change anything if you believe! Simon Sinek said “They were dealt a bad hand and it’s the company’s responsibility to pick up the slack and work extra hard and find ways to build their confidence, to teach them the social skills that their missing out on”, but isn’t that the same mentality that has them feeling the way they do now? I personally think as an administrator, we should deploy different teaching practices, expand the curriculum as a construct of what internally motivates them. Create a pedagogical approach to learning through life experiences where everyone contributes to the learning process by removing the teacher and allowing the students to teach each other.
If you give a man a fish, you feed him for the day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. – Chinese Proverb, n.d.

Specific to part 3: personal response, personal pronouns are appropriate in this section.

You will evaluate and critique one research article from varying professional journals. The
journal can be from any discipline that details the current trends in college teaching or challenges
facing college students today. All articles must be current (five years or less). Paper will include
a title page, a reference page, and have a 2-3-page limit (title page and the reference page are
NOT included in the page count). Should be in Apa Style and include citations.
The Journal Critique Assignment consists of three parts (each part should be one paragraph
only): Part 1: Summary Paragraph, Part 2: Analysis of Author’s Key Points, and Part 3: Personal
Response. Specific to Part 3: Personal Response, personal pronouns are appropriate in this
section.
When composing your reviews, remember to use graduate professional writing. Do not begin
with “This article is about…” Instead, open the review with a strong thesis statement and
summarize the author’s main points in the first paragraph. Using third person, state your personal
reaction to the article in the final paragraph (“This author agrees/disagrees…” or “one can see
that…”).
